The SEC taking into account that this is the season for agricultural activities urged the Secretary, Agriculture to coordinate with the State Marketing Federation and others to ensure that the farmers' produce coming to market have buyers.

This was decided at the State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Parimal Rai on April 9, 2020  and was attended by Shri Puneet Goel, Principal Secretary, Science and Technology; Shri SK Bhandari, Secretary, Transport and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary Revenue, Member Secretary, SEC and SDMA.

 Shri Daulat A. Hawaldar, Secretary, Finance; Shri Subhash Chandra, PCCF; Shri Kunal, CEO;   Smt. Nila Mohanan, Secretary, Health; Shri Amit Satija, Commissioner, Excise; Shri. P. S. Reddy, Secretary, Fisheries; Shri J. Ashok Kumar, Secretary, Tourism; Shri Sanjay Grihar, Secretary, Panchayats; Shri C.R. Garg, Secretary, Law; Ms Isha Khosla, Secretary, Civil Supply; Dr. Tariq Thomas, DMA; Shri U.P. Parsekar, Principal Chief Engineer, PWD and R. G. Keni, Chief Engineer, Electricity also attended the meeting as special invitees.

          Secretary, Agriculture said that 8 Harvesters have started operating in the State out of total 19 available and seed distribution for the next cropping season is also being done simultaneously. The SEC directed that no movement of persons across the border be allowed for manning these harvesters.

The Nodal Officer, Quarantine facilities apprised the SEC that all the inmates are normal and informed that there are five inmates in Madgaon Residency and 03 in O/d Goa Residency.

The Nodal Officer, foreigners informed the SEC that a total of 3314 Foreigners have left to their native countries in 19 flights as on date,

The District Observers informed that the supply of essential items are normal in the field and maintained that sufficient stocks of essential commodities. There is also hardly any rush reported at any location, they added.

The SEC directed the PCE (PWD) to ensure that appropriate tents are erected for the monitoring posts on the border to provide support to the staff posted there.

The ATM-on-wheels by SBI is providing the ATM facilities, as per the planned schedule and a second ATM-on-Wheel would also start soon, informed Shri Hawaldar.
