NATIONAL BLINDNESS SURVEY FROM APRIL 29 TO MAY 10

          The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India is conducting NPCB-National Blindness Survey in 30 districts in country. Dr.R.P. Centre is appointed as the  nodal agency for these surveys. Under this district North Goa is the randomly identified district for the National Blindness Survey in Goa.

          Survey in North Goa district will be conducted from April 29 to May 10, 2018 under this random-sample survey, nearly 3000 population of age 50 years and above in randomly selected 50 clusters (both urban and rural) will be covered. In each cluster 60 people will be interviewed and examined through House-to House visit. The survey will be conducted in partnership with Goa Medical College and Directorate of Health Services.

          Team from R.P. Centre consisting of 20 members and from Goa Medical College consisting of 4 members will conduct the survey in district North from April 29 to May 10, 2018. General public is requested to co-operate with the survey team.
